Transmission Filler Tube - 6.2L V8 6.8L Triton-30V - V10: Removal

  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the transmission fluid level indicator.

  3. Remove the upper transmission fluid filler tube bolt.

    1. 6.2L Engine
    2. 6.8L Engine

  4. Remove the lower transmission fluid filler tube bolt, remove the transmission fluid filler tube (7A228).

  5. Remove and discard the O-ring seal (391308).
