Transmission Control Module (TCM): Removal

NOTE: The TCM is located above the LHF fender splash shield.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  2. Remove the LHF fender splash shield. Refer to: Fender Splash Shield .
  3. NOTE: Keep the TCM electrical connector straight when disconnecting it or damage the connector terminals can occur.

    Slide the lock tab up and disconnect the TCM electrical connector.

  4. Slide the TCM backward in the bracket and remove the TCM.
