Pinpoint Test G : Engagement Quality - Park

Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
- Park does not engage
  - Verify proper movement of the manual control lever by monitoring PID TR_DC while moving the selector lever through all gear positions.
  - Check the selector lever cable for proper installation and adjustment. REFER to: Selector Lever Cable - 6-Speed Automatic Transmission - 6R140 .
  - Check the selector lever mechanism for damage and/or binding. REFER to: Selector Lever Mechanism .
  - Check the manual control lever, manual shaft, manual valve, park rod and park pawl for damage or binding. INSTALL new components as necessary. REFER to: Transmission .
- Vehicle is stuck in park
  - Verify proper movement of the manual control lever by monitoring PID TR_DC while moving the selector lever through all gear positions.
