Differential Carrier: Disassembly

NOTE:
The differential carrier is serviced as an assembly. The ring gear and differential bearings are the only serviced parts at this time.
- Remove the differential carrier. Refer to: Differential Carrier .
- Using the general equipment, remove and discard the differential bearings. Use the General Equipment: Hydraulic Press Use the General Equipment: Bearing Separator
- Remove and discard the ring gear bolts.
- Using the brass punch and a soft face hammer, remove the ring gear. Use the General Equipment: Punch Use the General Equipment: Copper Hammer
- Clean the differential ring gear flange.
