WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2019 Ford F-550 Super Duty, 2019 Ford F-450 Super Duty, 2019 Ford F-350 Super Duty, and 2019 Ford F-250 Super Duty. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: Do not use silicone based sprays or lubricants on any components installed onto or around the diesel exhaust system or intake air distribution and filtering system. Silicone reacts with the Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) sensors and may cause permanent damage to the NOx sensors.
NOTE: Some vehicles built on or before 11/01/2016, the nitrogen oxides (NOx) module 11 is installed using adhesive tape and a locator pin during vehicle assembly. If removal of any of these components is required for service, the adhesive tape is not required for reinstallation. To reinstall, utilize pin fastener W717460-S300 to secure the module. Two pins are required for the NOx module 11.
NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
NOTE: Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) sensors 11 wiring harness routing and position of retainers varies by wheelbase, frame width and length. Typical shown others similar.
NOTE: Do not apply any type of electrical grease or lubricants to the electrical connector.
