Rear Seat Latch: Removal

NOTE: Cushion cover and foam removed for clarity.
Remove the seat latch handle.
- Remove the cushion latch handle bezel from the cushion.
- Remove the fasteners located behind the cushion latch handle. Use the General Equipment: Interior Trim Remover
- Open the outboard side of the cushion cover.
- Release the cushion lower J-clip.
- Release the hook-and-loop strip.
- Unzip and open the outboard side of the cushion cover.

NOTE: Cushion cover and foam removed for clarity.
Remove the latch assembly.
- Rotate the latch cable end to align with the slot in the lever and pull the cable end through the slot.
- Press in on the cable retainer to release it from the cushion frame.
- Remove the latch from the cushion frame.
Vehicles with inflatable seatbelts
- Remove the lower anchor bolt cover.
- Remove the anchor bolt and separate the upper seatbelt from the lower seatbelt.
Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- Remove the lower seatbelt retractor cover and the upper side shield.
- Remove the screws.
- Remove the cover while feeding the seatbelt through the opening.
- Remove the screw and the upper side shield.
Vehicles without inflatable seatbelts
- Remove the outboard side shield screw and remove the side shield.
- Remove the bolt and position the seatbelt aside.
Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)
All vehicles
- Remove the bolts and the outboard riser.
Torque: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
- Remove the bolt and the cushion latch assembly.
Torque: 24 lb.ft (32 Nm)
