Axle Shaft Seal: Installation

NOTE: Use special tool 205-830 for the F250/350 and 205-831 for the F450/550.

Using the special tools, install the new knuckle seal onto the axle shaft.

Use Special Service Tool: 205-830 Installer, Wheel Knuckle Seal., 205-831 Installer, Wheel Knuckle Seal., 205-440 Remover/Installer, Drive Pinion Oil Seal.

Position the axle shaft into the knuckle.
NOTE: Use special tool 205-830 for the F250/350 and 205-831 for the F450/550.

NOTE: Use the spacer from the service kit to install the knuckle seal to its set depth. Discard the spacer after completing the installation procedure.
1. Install the spacer.
2. Use Special Service Tool: 205-830 Installer, Wheel Knuckle Seal, 205-831 Installer, Wheel Knuckle Seal.
3. Use Special Service Tool: 205-440 Remover/Installer, Drive Pinion Oil Seal.

Install the wheel bearing and wheel hub assemblies. REFER to: Front Wheel Bearing and Wheel Hub .
