Rear Stabilizer Bar Link - F-250/F-350: Removal

Suspension fasteners are critical parts that affect the performance of vital components and systems. Failure of these fasteners may result in major service expense. Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

NOTE: Hold the circular flange on the rear stabilizer link stud with locking pliers. Allowing the stud to turn could break the bond between the rubber isolator and the stud requiring link replacement.
Remove and discard the stabilizer bar link lower nut. Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers
Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
- Remove the stabilizer bar link bracket bolts, bracket and the stabilizer bar link.
Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)

NOTE: Hold the circular flange on the rear stabilizer link stud with locking pliers. Allowing the stud to turn could break the bond between the rubber isolator and the stud requiring link replacement.
Remove and discard the stabilizer bar link upper nut and separate the stabilizer bar link from the bracket.
Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
