Rear Stabilizer Bar - F-250/F-350: Removal

Use the same or equivalent parts if replacement is necessary. Do not use a replacement part of lesser quality or substitute design. Tighten fasteners as specified.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
On both sides.
1. NOTE: Hold the circular flange on the rear stabilizer link stud with locking pliers. Allowing the stud to turn could break the bond between the rubber isolator and the stud requiring link replacement.
  
  Remove and discard the stabilizer bar link lower nut. Use the General Equipment: Locking Pliers
  
  Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)
2. Position the stabilizer bar link aside.

On both sides. Remove and discard the stabilizer bar bracket bolts, and remove the stabilizer bar brackets and the stabilizer bar.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
