Ball Joint: Removal

- Remove the wheel knuckle. Refer to: Wheel Knuckle .
- Position the wheel knuckle in a vise and remove and discard the snap ring from the lower ball joint. Use the General Equipment: Vise Use the General Equipment: Snap Ring Pliers

NOTE: To avoid damage to the components, do not use heat to aid ball joint removal.
Remove the lower ball joint. Use Special Service Tool: 204-358 Remover/Installer, Ball Joint., 205-086 (T74P-4635-C) Installer/Remover, C-Frame and Screw. Use the General Equipment: Vise
- Remove the upper ball joint. Use Special Service Tool: 204-355 Remover/Installer, Ball Joint., 205-086 (T74P-4635-C) Installer/Remover, C-Frame and Screw. Use the General Equipment: Vise
- Clean and inspect the wheel knuckle ball joint bore. Use the General Equipment: Vise
