P20A1 - REDUCTANT PURGE CONTROL VALVE PERFORMANCE
| Description: | The PCM monitors reductant purge valve performance by monitoring the reductant pressure sensor. During a purge cycle, providing that the system pressure meets or exceeds 280 kPa (41 psi), if the system pressure does not drop by at least 230 kPa (33.3 psi), the PCM sets this DTC and shuts down the selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system. | ||
| Possible Causes: |
| Diagnostic Aids: | Verify the diesel exhaust fluid is full. Fill as necessary. Remove the reductant injector. Pressurize the system using the scan tool and carry out a visual inspection. If there are no external leaks and the reductant injector nozzle is not leaking, clear the DTCs and repeat the self-test. If DTC P20A1 is retrieved again, install a new reductant pump assembly. |
