Exhaust Intermediate Pipe: Removal

NOTE: Exhaust intermediate pipes will vary in configuration with different wheelbases. Typical application shown in illustration.

NOTE: Clean all exhaust connections before reassembly.

With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
NOTE: Typical application shown in illustration.

NOTE: During assembly, make sure the tab is fully seated in the notch on the pipe.

Loosen the catalytic converter-to-exhaust intermediate pipe clamp.

Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

Loosen the exhaust intermediate pipe-to-rear muffler pipe clamp.

Torque: 41 lb.ft (55 Nm)

Disconnect the rear muffler isolators. Remove the intermediate pipe.
