Removal And Installation: Radiator: Removal

- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the cooling fan and the cooling fan shroud. Refer to: Cooling Fan Shroud .
- Remove the headlamp assemblies. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly .

- All Vehicles. Disconnect the horn electrical connector and detach the wiring harness retainer.
- Vehicles Equipped With Hood Ajar Switch. Disconnect the electrical connector.
- Vehicles Not Equipped With Hood Ajar Switch. Detach the wiring harness retainer.
- Vehicles With Park Aid Camera. Detach the wiring harness retainers.
- Detach the pin-type retainer, release the clips and position the washer fluid hose aside.
- Remove the bolts, push-pins and the radiator grille bracket.
Torque:
1: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
2: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)
- Remove the push-pins and the RH air deflector.
- Remove the push-pins and the LH air deflector.
- Remove the bolts and position the transmission cooler aside.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Remove the bolts and position the A/C condenser aside.
Torque: 71 lb.in (8 Nm)
- Remove the quick-connect coupling secondary latches from the radiator.
- Using the special tool, disconnect the transmission fluid cooler tubes from the radiator. Use Special Service Tool: 307-569 Disconnect Tool TOC Line (1/2).
- Detach the hose retainer from the radiator.
- Remove the push-pins and the lower air deflector.

- Release the clamp and disconnect coolant hose. Use the General Equipment: Hose Clamp Remover/Installer
- Pull the upper radiator hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the upper radiator hose.
- Pull the lower radiator hose spring clip until the end of the clip is in the detent on the quick connect coupling and disconnect the lower radiator hose.
- Remove the bolts, radiator brackets and the radiator.
Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)
