Cooling Fan Shroud: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. Refer to: Air Cleaner Outlet Pipe .
- Detach the radiator site shield pin-type retainers.
- Remove the bolt and position the power steering fluid reservoir aside.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Detach the wiring harness retainer from the cooling fan shroud.
- Using the special tools, remove the cooling fan, the cooling fan clutch and position aside. Use Special Service Tool: 303-214 (T83T-6312-B) Wrench, Fan Clutch Nut., 303-478 (T94T-6312-AH) Holding Wrench, Fan Clutch Pulley.
Torque: 98 lb.ft (133 Nm)
- Disconnect the cooling fan clutch electrical connector.
- Remove the nut.
Torque: 177 lb.in (20 Nm)
- Detach the wiring harness retainers from the cooling fan shroud.

Remove the bolts, position the cooling fan shroud upward, and remove the cooling fan.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
