Front Seatbelt Retractor and Pretensioner - Super Cab: Installation

WARNING: Incorrect repair techniques or actions can cause an accidental Supplemental Restraint System deployment. Make sure the restraint system is depowered before reconnecting the component. Refer to Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Depowering . Failure to precisely follow depowering instructions could result in serious personal injury from an accidental deployment.
NOTE: During installation, make sure the seatbelt webbing is not twisted and the seatbelts and buckles are accessible to the occupants.
  1. Install the weather seal.

  2. Install the bolt and the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner.

    Torque: 30 lb.ft (40 Nm)

    1. Position the seatbelt aside.
    2. Fold the weather seal over the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner alignment tab.

    1. Connect the front seatbelt retractor and pretensioner electrical connectors.
    2. Attach the wiring harness retainer.

  3. Attach the seatbelt guide.

  4. Install the rear door trim panel. Refer to: Rear Door Trim Panel - Super Cab .
  5. Repower the SRS. Refer to: Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) Repowering .
  6. Check the seatbelt system for correct operation. Refer to: Seatbelt Systems .
