- Unique Idle Concerns: Slow Return To Idle
NOTE:
For manual transmission vehicles, a 500 to 1, 500 RPM controlled decrease lasting approximately 1 second is present between gear shifts at speed when the clutch pedal is pressed, to prevent driveline shock and enable smooth gear shift transitions. If the engine RPM return to idle exceeds the controlled decrease timing, then continue the slow return to idle diagnostics.
