High-Pressure Fuel Pump Drive Unit: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the high-pressure fuel pump. Refer to: High-Pressure Fuel Pump .
Remove the wiring harness bracket retaining nuts, position the wiring harness and bracket aside.
Torque: 97 lb.in (11 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

Remove the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit studbolts and the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit.

Torque: Stage 1: 16 lb.ft (22 Nm) | Stage 2: 45°

NOTE: The gasket is to be reused unless damaged.

Inspect the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit gasket, clean and replace the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit gasket as needed.
