Inner Constant Velocity (CV) Joint Boot: Installation

NOTE: Make sure a new component is installed.
Install the CV boot clamp.

NOTE: Make sure a new component is installed.
Install the CV joint boot.
- Install the CV joint tripod. Use Special Service Tool: 205-393 Installer, Drive Pinion Flange.

NOTE: Make sure a new component is installed.
- Dismountable constant velocity joint bearing. Install the CV joint tripod bearing circlip.
- Install the CV rollers.

NOTE: Make sure a new component is installed.
Not dismountable constant velocity joint bearing. Install the CV joint tripod bearing circlip.

NOTE: Make sure that the component is clean, free of foreign material and lubricant.
Clean both components.

NOTE: Make sure that new components are installed.
- Install the inner CV joint boot.
- Using boot clamp pliers, install the small CV boot clamp. Use Special Service Tool: 205-343 (T95P-3514-A) Installer, Constant Velocity Joint Boot Clamp.

- Press the grease from the grease sachets evenly in the CV joint boot and the CV joint housing.

- Position the CV joint boot and the CV joint housing.
- Press the grease from the grease sachets evenly in the CV joint boot and the CV joint housing.

- Using a flat headed screw driver to allow air to escape. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver
- Position the CV joint housing inside the CV joint boot.
- Adjust the CV joint housing inside the CV joint boot.
- Using a flat headed screw driver to allow air to escape. Use the General Equipment: Flat Headed Screw Driver

Using boot clamp pliers, install the large CV boot clamp. Use Special Service Tool: 205-343 (T95P-3514-A) Installer, Constant Velocity Joint Boot Clamp.
- Install the front halfshaft. Refer to: Front Halfshaft LH . Refer to: Front Halfshaft RH .
