Pinpoint Test E: The One-Touch Up Feature Is Inoperative

  1. Refer to POWER WINDOWS for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Glass, Frames and Mechanisms - Vehicles With: One-Touch Open and Close Front Windows - System Operation and Component Description .

    DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 

    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    DDM B12DC:54 Front Window Motion/Position Sensor: Missing Calibration This DTC sets when the DDM or PDM has lost calibration data. When this DTC is present, the front window does not have one-touch up or one-touch down functionality.
    DDM B12DC:54 Front Window Motion/Position Sensor: Missing Calibration This DTC sets when the DDM or PDM has lost calibration data. When this DTC is present, the front window does not have one-touch up or one-touch down functionality.
    PDM B12DD:54 Rear Window Motion/Position Sensor: Missing Calibration This DTC sets when the DRDM or PRDM has lost calibration data. When this DTC is present, the rear window does not have one-touch up or one-touch down functionality.
    PDM B12DD:54 Rear Window Motion/Position Sensor: Missing Calibration This DTC sets when the DRDM or PRDM has lost calibration data. When this DTC is present, the rear window does not have one-touch up or one-touch down functionality.

    Possible Sources 

    • Power window motor(s) not initialized
    • Wiring, terminals or connectors
    • DDM
    • PDM
    • DRDM
    • PRDM

  2. E1 INITIALIZE THE SUSPECT POWER WINDOW

    Is the one-touch up/down feature operating correctly? 

    Yes  The system is operating normally at this time. The window lost initialization.
    No  GO to  E2
  3. E2 CHECK FOR CORRECT OPERATION OF THE SUSPECT DOOR MODULE

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Disconnect and inspect the suspect door module connector(s).

    • Repair:

      • corrosion (install new connector or terminals - clean module pins)
      • damaged or bent pins - install new terminals/pins as necessary
      • pushed-out pins - install new pins as necessary

    • Reconnect the suspect door module connector(s). Make sure they seat and latch correctly.

    • Ignition ON.

    • Make sure the rear passenger window lock-out switch is in the UNLOCK position.

    • Operate the system and determine if the concern is still present.

    Is the concern still present? 

    Yes  CHECK OASIS for any applicable service articles: TSB, GSB, SSM or FSA. If a service article exists for this concern, DISCONTINUE this test and FOLLOW the service article instructions. If no service articles address this concern, INSTALL a new door module.
    No  The system is operating correctly at this time. The concern may have been caused by module connections. ADDRESS the root cause of any connector or pin issues.
