Overview

Delayed Accessory Power

The power windows operate only when the delayed accessory power feature is active. The delayed accessory feature is active whenever the ignition is ON, or up to 10 minutes after the ignition is changed from ON to OFF while the front driver and passenger doors remain closed.

Power Window Operation

Standard power window features include one-touch up and one-touch down operation on all 4 doors.

The window control switch:

can be used to manually or automatically raise/lower all windows from the master window control switch or the individual passenger window from the corresponding door switch.
has a rear passenger window lock-out feature (located on the master window control switch).

Global Open

The global open feature can automatically open the door windows using the RKE transmitter. The global open feature only activates when the ignition is off and the delayed accessory power feature is not active. After unlocking the vehicle, pressing and holding the unlock button on the RKE transmitter causes the windows to begin opening. If the lock or unlock button on the RKE is pressed while the windows are moving, the window operations will stop.

Rear Window Defrost

NOTE: The rear window defrost system does not operate if the battery charge level is low.

NOTE: When you switch maximum defrost on, the heated windshield, rear window defrost and air conditioning turn on. When you switch maximum defrost off, the heated windshield and rear window defrost remain on.

Press the rear window defrost switch (integral to the HVAC module) to activate the rear window defrost. The rear window defrost automatically turns off after a short period of time.

Heated Windshield

NOTE: The heated windshield system does not operate if the battery charge level is low.

Press the heated windshield switch (integral to the HVAC module) to activate the heated windshield. The heated windshield automatically turns off after a short period of time.
