Second Row Double Seat: Removal

WARNING: The following procedure describes critical repair steps required for correct seat component installation. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Do not place any objects between the seat components and the body of the vehicle, nor any objects within a joint internal to the seat structure. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the seat components and increases the risk of serious personal injury.

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Short wheelbase

Remove the double seat.
1. Tilt the seat forward.
2. Release the seat base floor latch.
3. Remove the seat.

Long wheelbase
Remove the seat bolts.
1. Remove the seat bolt covers.
2. Remove the seat bolts.

  : 33 lb.ft (45 Nm)

Pull the strap and lock the seat backrest in the fold-flat position.

NOTE: The seat must be locked in the fold-flat position to remove the seat.

NOTE: To unlock the seat from the fold-flat position, pull the large release strap, lift upward at the front of the seat cushion and move the seat rearward, clasping the seat latch feet to the floor strikers.

NOTE: The seat latch feet must be clasped to the floor strikers before the backrest can be pivoted to the upright position.

Pull the large strap, move the seat forward to the lowered position and remove the double seat.
