Pinpoint Test W: B1142:29 Or B1142:86
- Refer to the appropriate Wiring Diagrams for schematic and connector information.
Normal Operation and Fault Conditions
The DDM/ PDM communicates with the BCM over the CAN. If the DDM/ PDM does not receive the ignition ON status message from the BCM during the self-test, a DTC sets.
DTC Fault Trigger Conditions
DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition DDM B1142:29 Ignition Status 1: Signal Invalid Sets when the DDM has not received the ignition ON message from the BCM during the self-test. DDM B1142:86 Ignition Status 1: Signal Invalid Sets when the DDM has not received the ignition ON message from the BCM during the self-test. PDM B1142:29 Ignition Status 1: Signal Invalid Sets when the PDM has not received the ignition ON message from the BCM during the self-test. PDM B1142:86 Ignition Status 1: Signal Invalid Sets when the PDM has not received the ignition ON message from the BCM during the self-test. Possible Sources
- Ignition is off
- Network concern
- W1 CHECK THE IGNITION STATE
- Inspect the ignition status LED on the START/STOP button.
Is the ignition status LED flashing or on solidly?
Yes The DDM/ PDM is not receiving the ignition ON status message from the BCM over the network. DIAGNOSE the network concern. REFER to: Communications Network . No REFER to: Steering Wheel and Column Electrical Components .
