Transmission Output Shaft Flange: Removal

- Remove the driveshaft. Refer to: Driveshaft .
- Support the transmission with a safety stand and a block of wood and remove the bolts and remove transmission support insulator and crossmember. Use the General Equipment: Vehicle/Axle Stands. Use the General Equipment: Wooden Block
- Using the special tools, hold the output shaft flange and remove and discard the nut. Use Special Service Tool: 308-807 Holding Tool, Rear Flange., 205-478 Holding Tool, Drive Pinion Flange.
- Remove the output shaft flange. Use the General Equipment: Two Leg Puller
