Gear Shift Position Sensor: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview
- Disconnect the gear shift position sensor connector.

NOTE: Note the orientation of the gear shift position sensor before removing.
Remove the bolts and the gear shift position sensor.
- Remove the extension housing. Refer to: Extension Housing Gasket

NOTE: Some gears and shafts are not shown, but do not need to be removed.
Remove the bolt and slide the gear shift position sensor magnet off of the shift shaft.
