Overview
The shift by wire system uses a rotary dial mounted on top of the GSM to command the TCM. The TCM controls solenoids in the gearset and clutch housing to control gear selection and clutch engagement.
The steering wheel has upshift and downshift paddle shifters allowing the driver to manually select gears 1 through 7.
The park manual release cable and mechanism releases the transmission from Park to Neutral.
