Transmission Fluid Cooler Tubes: Installation

Inspect and lubricate the band seals and backing rings.
1. Backing ring.
2. Band seal.
  Material: Motorcraft® GT500 Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid / XT-14-L

Install the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes and the bolts.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Install the transmission heat shield and the retainers.
Torque: Nut: 53 lb.in (6 Nm) Bolts: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)

Install the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes bracket retainers.
Torque: bracket nuts : 35 lb.ft (48 Nm) bracket bolt : 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

Install and connect the transmission fluid cooler tubes to the fluid cooler and install the clips.

Connect the rear transmission fluid cooler tubes to the front transmission fluid cooler tubes and install the retaining clips.

Install the transmission fluid cooler tubes secondary latches.

Install the engine front undershield. Refer to: Engine Front Undershield - GT500 .
Position the degas bottle and install the bolts.
Torque: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)

Check the transmission fluid level and adjust as necessary. Refer to: Transmission Fluid Level Check .
