Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S): Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

    RH (right-hand) Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) 

  2. Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

  3. Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

  4. Disconnect the electrical connector and the harness retainers.

  5. Apply penetrating oil to sensor, using the special tool remove the HO2S. Use Special Service Tool: 303-476 (T94P-9472-A) Socket, Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor.

  6. Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

  7. Remove the bolts and the underbody shield.

  8. Apply penetrating oil to sensor, using the special tool remove the HO2S. Use Special Service Tool: 303-476 (T94P-9472-A) Socket, Exhaust Gas Oxygen Sensor.
