High-Pressure Fuel Pump Drive Unit: Removal

- Disconnect both battery cables. Refer to: Battery Disconnect and Connect .
- Disconnect the battery cable retainer.

- If equipped, remove the nuts and the strut tower cross brace.
- Discard the nuts.
- Remove the cowl panel grille. Refer to: Cowl Panel Grille .
- Remove the strut tower cross brace bolts, remove the strut tower cross brace nuts and then remove the strut tower cross brace.
- Remove the cowl extension bolts and then remove the extension.
- Remove the high-pressure fuel pump. Refer to: High-Pressure Fuel Pump .
- Remove the bolts and position aside the coolant line.
- Remove the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit bolts and then remove the high-pressure fuel pump drive unit.
