Pinpoint Test Ch: The Chime Only Sounds From The IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster)

  1. Refer to Instrument Cluster for schematic and connector information.

    Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    REFER to: Warning Chimes - System Operation and Component Description .

    Possible Sources 

    • Message center concern
    • Audio system concern
    • IPC

  2. CH1 CHECK IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present? 

    Yes  REFER to Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) Chart: IPC. Refer to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart .
    No  DIAGNOSE the audio system. REFER to: Information and Entertainment System .
