Parking Brake Cable LH - 5 Ton Vehicle, Vehicles With: Drum-in-Hat: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

1. Loosen the parking brake cable adjustment nut.
2. Push inward on the tabs and detach the LH cable from the bracket.
3. Rotate the cable, slide the pin and detach the cable from the equalizer.

Disconnect the grommet and the LH parking brake cable from the cross member.

Remove the bolt and disconnect the LH parking brake cable.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

Remove the bolt and disconnect the LH parking brake cable from backplate.
Torque: 53 lb.in (6 Nm)

Disconnect the LH parking brake cable from the actuation lever.

Remove the nut and LH parking brake cable.
Torque: 81 lb.ft (110 Nm)
