Rear Brake Pads - Vehicles With: 2-Piston Brake Caliper: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
  2. Disconnect the brake pad wear indicator assembly and position aside.

    1. Remove the bleeder screw cap and detach the wear indicator sensor cable.
    2. Detach the wear indicator sensor cable from mounting bracket.
    3. Detach the wear indicator sensor.

  3. Remove both the guide pin bolt caps.

  4. NOTE: Make sure that no load is placed on the brake hose.

    Remove the 2 caliper bolts. Position the brake caliper aside.

    Torque

    : 23 lb.ft (31 Nm)

  5. NOTE: Note the position of the components before removal.
    NOTE: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

    Remove the brake pads.

  6. NOTE: Note the position of the components before removal.

    Remove the clips. Discard if installing new brake pads.
