Rear Brake Pads - Electric Motor (C0): Installation

NOTE: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted and is correctly located.

Compress the brake caliper piston until the piston bottoms out in the brake caliper bore. Use the General Equipment: Brake Caliper Piston Retractor

Align the caliper piston groove with the caliper reference.

Clean the brake pad to anchor plate contact surface.

1. Start to install the clip from the top rail.
2. Install the clip over the lower abutment.
3. Apply pressure with fingers to fully seat the clip against bracket.

NOTE: Inner and outer brake pads are not interchangeable.
1. Position the pad radial springs in contact on the slider.
2. Engage the pad in the slider through the radial springs by introducing an angle at the top of the pad.
3. Push gently on pads in order to compress radial springs.
4. Push the pads axially towards the disc until parallel contact is made.

Ensure the inner brake pad with pin is aligned to the caliper piston groove.

NOTE: Brake pad clip is one time fit and can not be reused if damaged.

NOTE: Make sure that the component is correctly located on the locating dowels.

Clip the brake pads on the anchor plate bracket. Listen to the click sound while installing the clips to the bracket.

To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Deactivate the brake service mode. Refer to: Brake Service Mode Activation and Deactivation .
Apply the brake pedal several times to verify correct brake system operation.
