Rear Brake Flexible Hose - Vehicles With: Electronic Parking Brake (EPB): Removal

All vehicles 

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. WARNING: Service actions on vehicles equipped with electronic parking brakes may cause unexpected parking brake application, which could result in injury to hands or fingers. Put the electronic parking brake system into service mode prior to servicing or removing rear brake components. Failure to follow this instruction may result in serious personal injury.

    Activate the EPB service mode. Refer to: Electronic Parking Brake (EPB) Service Mode Activation and Deactivation .

  2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

    Outer brake hoses 

  3. NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

    Remove the brake hose flow bolt and disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper. Discard the washers.

    Torque

    : 21 lb.ft (28 Nm)

  4. Detach the wheel speed sensor wiring harness from the brake hose grommet.

  5. Disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the brake hose.

    Torque

    : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    Inner brake hoses 

    1. Detach the wiring harness retainers.
    2. Disconnect the brake tube fittings.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    3. Remove the brake hose bracket bolts.

      Torque

      : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  6. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers and position aside the wiring harness.

    1. Disconnect the brake tube fittings.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    2. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt and remove the brake hoses.

      Torque

      : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
