Rear Brake Flexible Hose - 5 Ton Vehicle, Vehicles With: Drum-in-Hat: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .

    All vehicles 

  2. NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

    Remove the brake hose flow bolt and disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper. Discard the washers.

    Torque

    : 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

  3. Remove the clip, disconnect the brake tube fitting and remove the brake hose.

    Torque

    : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    All vehicles 

    1. Detach the 3 wheel speed sensor harness retainers.
    2. Disconnect the 2 brake tube fittings.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    3. Remove the 2 brake hose bracket bolts.

      Torque

      : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

    1. Detach the 2 wheel speed sensor harness retainers.
    2. Disconnect the 2 brake tube fittings.

      Torque

      : 159 lb.in (18 Nm)

    3. Remove the brake hose bracket bolt and remove the brake hoses.

      Torque

      : 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
