Rear Brake Caliper - 5 Ton Vehicle, Vehicles With: Drum-in-Hat: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
  2. Disconnect the brake pad wear indicator assembly and position aside.

    1. Remove the bleeder screw cap and detach the wear indicator sensor cable.
    2. Detach the wear indicator sensor cable from mounting bracket.
    3. Detach the wear indicator sensor.

  3. NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

    Remove the brake hose flow bolt and disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper. Discard the washers.

    Torque

    : 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

  4. Remove the guide pin bolt caps.

  5. Remove the bolts and the brake caliper. Discard the bolts.

    Torque

    : 25 lb.ft (34 Nm)
