Brake Master Cylinder - LHD: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

  2. NOTE: Make sure that the brake pedal remains in the rest position.

  4. NOTE: Make sure that the brake booster vacuum is released.
    NOTE: Do not press the brake pedal fully. Depress the brake pedal right below the not actuated accelerator pedal.

  6. Use the General Equipment: Brake/Clutch System Pressure Bleeder/Filler

  8. NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.

    Torque: 150 lb.in (17 Nm)

  9. Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)

  10. NOTE: Install new brake fluid reservoir seals. Lubricate the seals with clean, specified brake fluid.
    NOTE: This step is only necessary when installing a new component.

    Material: Motorcraft® DOT 4 LV High Performance Motor Vehicle Brake Fluid / PM-20 (WSS-M6C65-A2)
