Front Brake Caliper - 5 Ton Vehicle, Vehicles With: Drum-in-Hat: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.

Remove the wheel and tire. Refer to: Wheel and Tire .
Remove both the guide pin bolt caps.

Disconnect the brake pad wear indicator assembly and position aside.
1. Detach the wear indicator sensor.
2. Remove screw and the wear indicator sensor cable mounting bracket.
  Torque: 106 lb.in (12 Nm)
3. Remove the bleeder screw cap and detach the wear indicator sensor cable.

NOTE: Make sure that no load is placed on the brake hose.

NOTE: Make sure that the brake hose is not twisted and is correctly located.

Remove the brake hose flow bolt and disconnect the brake hose from the brake caliper. Discard the washers.

Torque: 26 lb.ft (35 Nm)

Remove the guide pin bolts and the brake caliper. Discard the guide pin bolts.
Torque: 25 lb.ft (34 Nm)
