Passenger Door Window Operation

The passenger door window can be operated from the driver or passenger door window control switch.

Heated Windshield 

When the heated windshield switch (integral to the HVAC module) is activated, the HVAC module activates the LH and RH heated windshield relays (integral to the BJB). When the heated windshield relays are activated, the LH and RH heated windshield elements are energized.

The HVAC module deactivates the LH and RH heated windshield relays when one of these conditions is met:

• The heated windshield switch is pressed when the feature is active.
• Ignition state is changed from ON to OFF.
• A predetermined timer completes.
• Battery voltage has dropped below a specified threshold (load management strategy).

Rear Window Defrost 

When the rear window defrost switch (integral to the HVAC module) is activated, the HVAC module activates the rear window defrost relay (integral to the BJB). When the rear window defrost relay is activated, the rear window defrost elements are energized.

The HVAC module deactivates the rear window defrost relay when one of these conditions is met:

• The rear window defrost switch is pressed when the feature is active.
• Ignition state is changed from ON to OFF.
• A predetermined timer completes.
• Battery voltage has dropped below a specified threshold (load management strategy).
