Rear Bumper: Removal

Vehicles with parking aid 

1. Remove the push pins and disconnect the rear parking aid electrical connector.

2. Remove the push pins.

3. Remove the screws and the rear bumper cover.

   Torque: 19 lb.in (2.2 Nm)

4. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers and position the wiring harness aside.

5. On both sides. Disconnect the wiring harness retainers and position the wiring harness aside.

   All vehicles 

6. Remove the spare wheel and tire assembly.

   Vehicles with trailer tow 

7. On both sides. Remove the trailer hitch bolts.

   Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)

8. 1. Disconnect the trailer wiring connector.
   2. Remove the bolts.

      Torque: 59 lb.ft (80 Nm)

   3. With the help of an assistant. Remove the trailer hitch assembly.

9. Remove the screws.

   Torque: 76 lb.ft (103 Nm)

10. With the help of an assistant. Remove the screws and the rear bumper.

    Torque: 35 lb.ft (48 Nm)
