Front Bumper Cover - Electric: Removal

NOTE: Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the front fender molding. Refer to: Front Fender Molding .
  2. With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
  3. On both sides. Remove the screw.

    Torque: 19 lb.in (2.2 Nm)

  4. On both sides. Remove the screws.

    Torque: 22 lb.in (2.5 Nm)

    1. Disconnect the front bumper cover wiring harness electrical connector.
    2. If equipped. Disconnect the front parking aid camera wiring harness electrical connector.
    3. Detach the wiring harness retainers and position the wiring harness aside.

  5. Remove the retainers, release the tabs and remove the front air deflector.

  6. Remove the bolts.

    Torque: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)

  7. Remove the screws and the trim pins.

    Torque: 42 lb.in (4.8 Nm)

  8. If equipped. Remove the screws, drill the rivets and remove the licence plate bracket. Use the General Equipment: Electric Drill

  9. Remove the covers and the screws.

    Torque: 22 lb.ft (30 Nm)

  10. Remove the headlamp assembly. Refer to: Headlamp Assembly .

    Vehicles With: Parking Aid Camera 

  11. Disconnect the front camera washer hose and the hose clip.

    All vehicles 

  12. On both sides. Loosen screws, release the tab and separate the outer edges of the front bumper cover assembly.

    Torque: 28 lb.in (3.2 Nm)

  13. NOTE: This step requires the aid of another technician.

    Release the tabs and remove the front bumper cover.
