Fourth Row Double Seat Backrest - Vehicles With: Rear Seat Recliner: Removal
WARNING:
The following procedure describes critical repair steps required for correct seat component installation. Follow all notes and steps carefully. Do not place any objects between the seat components and the body of the vehicle, nor any objects within a joint internal to the seat structure. Failure to follow step instructions may result in incorrect operation of the seat components and increases the risk of serious personal injury.
Both backrests
- Loosen the bolt and position the RH seat safety belt and buckle aside.
Torque: 35 lb.ft (47 Nm)
- Remove the seat cushion cover and foam as an assembly. Refer to: Fourth Row Double Seat Cushion Cover .
- Remove the LH seat backrest cover. Refer to: Fourth Row Double Seat Backrest Cover .
- Remove the LH backrest foam while positioning the safety belt through the foam opening.
- Position the safety belt through the LH backrest upper safety belt guide.

- Release the locking tabs and remove the LH backrest safety belt guide cover.
- Position the safety belt through the LH backrest safety belt guide.

- Remove the screw.
- Position the rear seat recline strap aside.
- Release the retainers and position the seat backrest center cover aside.
- Remove the bolts and the LH seat backrest.

- Remove the seat backrest center cover.
- Remove the RH seat backrest cover. Refer to: Fourth Row Double Seat Backrest Cover .
- Remove the RH backrest foam while positioning the safety belt through the foam opening.
- Position the safety belt through the RH backrest upper safety belt guide.

- Release the locking tabs and remove the RH safety belt guide cover.
- Position the safety belt through the RH backrest safety belt guide.
- Remove the bolts and the RH seat backrest.
