Transfer Case Rear Seal: Installation

  1. Using the special tool, install the rear output shaft seal. Use Special Service Tool: 205-199 (T83T-3132-A1) Installer, Spindle/Axle Shaft., 308-976 Installer, Output Shaft Seal.

  2. NOTE: Clean the mating surfaces of derivations flex coupling or flange and the pinion flange.

    To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  3. Check transfer case fluid level. Refer to: Transfer Case Fluid Level Check .
