Transfer Case Front Output Shaft Seal: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting .
- If equipped. Remove the skid plate bolts and the skid plate.
- Remove the Front driveshaft. Refer to: Front Driveshaft .
- Drain the transfer case. Refer to: Transfer Case Draining and Filling .
- Using the special tool, remove and discard the pinion flange nut. Use Special Service Tool: 205-126 (T78P-4851-A) Holding Fixture, Drive Pinion Flange.
- Index mark the front output flange and the front output shaft for reassembly.
- Remove the front output flange.. Use the General Equipment: Puller
- Remove and discard the front output shaft seal.
