Pinpoint Test T: Invalid Data Received

  1. DTC Fault Trigger Conditions 
    DTC Description Fault Trigger Condition
    PAM U0401:00 Invalid Data Received from ECM/PCM A: No Sub Type Information Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the PCM through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0415:00 Invalid Data Received from Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS) Control Module "A": No Sub Type Information Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the ABS module for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0420:00 Invalid Data Received from Power Steering Control Module "A": No Sub Type Information Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the PSCM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0422:00 Invalid Data Received From Body Control Module: No Sub Type Information Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the BCM through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0423:82 Invalid Data Received from Instrument Panel Cluster Control Module: Alive/Sequence Counter Incorrect/Not Updated Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the IPC through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0424:00 Invalid Data Received From HVAC Control Module: No Sub Type Information Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the HVAC through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0424:82 Invalid Data Received From HVAC Control Module: Alive/Sequence Counter Incorrect/Not Updated Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the HVAC through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0485:82 Invalid Data Received From Radio: Alive/Sequence Counter Incorrect/Not Updated Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the ACM through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0553:82 Invalid Data Received From Lighting Control Module-Rear "B": Alive/Sequence Counter Incorrect/Not Updated Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the TRM through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0554:00 Invalid Data Received From Accessory Protocol Interface Module: No Sub Type Information Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the APIM through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.
    PAM U0554:82 Invalid Data Received From Accessory Protocol Interface Module: Alive/Sequence Counter Incorrect/Not Updated Sets in the PAM when the PAM received invalid network data from the APIM through the GWM for 5 seconds or longer.

    Possible Sources 

    • Suspect module

  2. T1 CHECK FOR DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) FROM THE MODULE SENDING INVALID DATA

    • Ignition ON.

    • Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the self-test for the module in question sending the invalid data.

    Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) present from the module sending the invalid data? 

    Yes  DIAGNOSE the module sending the invalid data. REFER to the appropriate service information.
    No  DIAGNOSE the observable symptom present. REFER to the Symptom Chart: Parking Aid .
