Cooling Module: Removal

- With the vehicle in NEUTRAL, position it on a hoist. Refer to: Jacking and Lifting - Overview .
- Recover the refrigerant. Refer to: Air Conditioning (A/C) System Recovery, Evacuation and Charging .
- Drain the cooling system. Refer to: Engine Cooling System Draining, Vacuum Filling and Bleeding .
- Remove the CAC. Refer to: Charge Air Cooler (CAC) .
- Position the lower radiator support and install the bolts finger-tight.
- Remove the retainers and the lower load path bars.
Torque: 1: 46 lb.ft (62 Nm)
2: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Remove the cable ties from the cooling module.

- Disconnect the wiring harness electrical connector and detach the retainers.
- Remove the bolts.
Torque: 62 lb.in (7 Nm)
- Loosen the clamps and remove the CAC tubes.
Torque: 44 lb.in (5 Nm)

NOTE: Make sure that all openings are sealed.
Remove the condenser inlet and outlet nuts and disconnect the fittings.
Torque: 1: 150 lb.in (17 Nm) 2: 80 lb.in (9 Nm)
- Detach the coolant hose and vapor tube retainers.

- Disconnect the cooling fan motor and shroud electrical connectors.
- Release the tabs and position aside the exhaust emission control module.

- Detach the coolant tube from the cooling fan shroud.
- Follow the directions to release quick release coupling type 16. Disconnect the coolant tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling .
- Release the clamp and disconnect the lower radiator hose.

- Release the clamps and disconnect the coolant hoses.

- Detach the wiring harness retainers.
- Detach the coolant hose retainer.
- Remove the bolt and position the transmission fluid heater coolant control valve.
Torque: 89 lb.in (10 Nm)

- Remove the bolts.
Torque: 18 lb.ft (25 Nm)
- Position the air deflector and remove the cooling module.
- Remove the bolts.
