Coolant Pump: Removal

- Loosen the coolant pump pulley bolts.
- Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to: Accessory Drive Belt .

NOTE: Cover the A/C compressor belt to prevent coolant contamination of the belt.
Completely cover the A/C compressor belt with waterproof plastic.
- Remove the thermostat housing. Refer to: Thermostat Housing .
- Remove the bolts and the coolant pump pulley.
- Follow the directions to release the quick release coupling type 25. Disconnect the coolant tube. Refer to: Quick Release Coupling
.
- Remove the bolts and the coolant pump.
- Inspect the O-ring seal and gasket and replace it if necessary.
