Pinpoint Test BA: The Information Chime Is Inoperative

  1. Possible Sources 

    • No warnings present
    • IPC

  2. BA1 VERIFY HEADLAMPS ON WARNING CHIME OPERATES

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Place the headlamps in the parking lamps position.

    • Close all doors.

    • Open the driver door and monitor the headlamp on warning chime.

    Does the headlamp on warning chime sound? 

    Yes  The system is operating correctly. The message center warning chime only sounds when a new warning is displayed in the message center.
    No  Install a new IPC. Refer to Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) .
