Pinpoint Test Y: The Limited/Severely Limited Performance RTT (RECONFIGURABLE Telltale) Indicator Is Never Or Always On

If the battery performance warning indicator message is missing for less than 5 seconds, the IPC defaults the limited/severely limited performance RTT indicator to its last indication state (on or off), based upon the last message received.
If the battery performance warning indicator message is missing for 5 seconds or longer, the IPC defaults the limited/severely limited performance RTT indicator off.

- Communication concern
- GWM
- SOBDMC
- IPC
- Y1 CHECK THE MESSAGE CENTER OPERATION
- Ignition ON.
- Close all doors and hood.
- Monitor the door ajar RTT warning indicator.
- Open the driver door.
- Monitor the door ajar RTT warning indicator.
Is the door ajar RTT warning indicator off with the door closed, and on with the door open?
Yes GO to Y2 No GO to Pinpoint Test A - Y2 PERFORM THE IPC (INSTRUMENT PANEL CLUSTER) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the IPC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) Chart . No GO to Y3 - Y3 PERFORM THE SOBDMC (SECONDARY ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC CONTROL MODULE C) SELF-TEST
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, perform the SOBDMC self-test.
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to the Master DTC Chart. No GO to Y4 - Y4 CHECK THE GWM (GATEWAY MODULE A) DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS)
- Using a diagnostic scan tool, check the GWM Continuous Memory Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs).
Are any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) recorded?
Yes REFER to: Controller Area Network (CAN) Module Communications Network . No DIAGNOSE a high voltage battery concern. REFER to: High Voltage Battery, Mounting and Cables .
