Pinpoint Test BA: The Door Ajar Warning Chime Is Inoperative

  1. Normal Operation and Fault Conditions 

    See Door Ajar Warning Chime. REFER to: Warning Chimes - System Operation and Component Description .

    Possible Sources 

    • Door ajar indication concern
    • IPC

  2. BA1 CHECK THE HEADLAMPS ON WARNING CHIME

    • Ignition OFF.

    • Turn the headlamps on.

    • Open the driver door.

    • Monitor the headlamps on warning chime.

    Does the headlamps on warning chime operate? 

    Yes  GO to Pinpoint Test O 
    No  GO to Pinpoint Test A
