Rocker Arm: Installation

All rocker arms 

1. 1. Lubricate the rocker arms with clean engine oil.
   2. Install the rocker arm and engage the spring clip onto the hydraulic lash adjuster.
   3. Turn the knob on the special tool counterclockwise to raise the valve and spring.
   4. Remove Special Service Tool: 303-1633 Remover, Roller Rocker Follower., 303-1633-01 Remover, Roller Rocker Follower.

   Cylinders 2 and 3 exhaust rocker arms 

2. NOTE: Lubricate the camshaft journals prior to installing the camshaft cap.

   Install the camshaft cap and the bolts.

   Torque: Stage 1: 53 lb.in (6 Nm) Stage 2: 90 deg.

3. Install the LH and/or RH valve covers. Refer to: Valve Cover LH . Refer to: Valve Cover RH
